Nuclear Cardiology Boards

Requirements for boarding:

—700 hours logged. Make sure the program director knows you are getting boarded so you have enough nuclear blocks. Each day counts for 8 hours so you need 88 days. Email Paula Last (plast@uw.edu) to ensure you have an accurate count of your days (you have days deducted for vacation, coverage on other rotations, retreats, sick days, etc).

—Enroll in the 80 hour course: ASNC 80 Hour Radionuclide Authorized User Training Course. Register as a fellow in training member first (FREE) then register for the course using the member discount. In 2024, the cost was $400 which is reimbursed by the fellowship (email Sally). Can register any time during your second or third year. The course content remains active for two years.

—Log 300 cases and at least 30 cath correlations (either angiogram or CCTA) in an excel document. Additionally, log in MedHub if you want it to be included in your final fellowship letter signed by the program director (ie to send to jobs), otherwise not necessary.

—Send certificates for the online tutorials that you complete to Paula as well
