Attend HMC case conference every Tuesday at 12:00-1:00 PM. Bring a case to discuss. No need to prepare a formal presentation but know your case well.
daily schedule
Review cases the night before.
Call the Cath lab at 7:00 am at 43380 to check for any add on cases. Triage them if so. Consent all inpatients that are going for cath.
Evaluate and prep the outpatients when they arrive (around 7:30). They are located on the 8th floor OPU. The cath packet should contain the patient’s “pre-op” H&P. This needs to be completed or confirmed within 24 hrs of cath, due to the potential use of conscious sedation. Ensure outpatients are consented.
Help out in the CCU if needed (rarely required).
